SIGDOC'2021 experimented with a mixed format that combined regular online events, both synchronous and asynchronous, with eight additional presential meetups called "hubs".

Carlos Costa interviewed me at ISEG a few weeks earlier. The COVID pandemic required face masks for the face-to-face interview and for participants of the event. That emphasized the visible talking mouths of remote people not required to wear masks...
